Job summary

Wayne Metro is seeking a Coordinated Entry Specialist to help individuals and families facing homelessness resolve housing crises quickly. You will conduct intake, data entry, and referrals to community resources in a hybrid office setting near Detroit.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, trauma-informed engagement, and excellent communication. You will work with a diverse client base to coordinate housing and access essential services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree OR a combination of education and experience that is similarly equivalent.
• Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
• Ability to organize, plan, prioritize, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
• Flexible and committed to teamwork toward common goals.

Responsibilities

• Engage with individuals and families experiencing homelessness using a Trauma-informed approach.
• Facilitate strengths-based conversations to divert from emergency shelter.
• Assist with housing arrangements and connections to services and financial assistance.
• Complete housing applications including Homeless Preference Housing Choice Voucher waitlist prep.
• Input data into HMIS and maintain accurate case files.
• Participate in workgroups and case conferences related to shelter and diversion.
