The Frederick County Government seeks a Forensic Nurse Examiner to support the Family Justice Center, delivering trauma-informed medical-forensic assessments for survivors of violence. You will collect evidence, document findings, and help shape a care plan in a confidential setting under the supervision of the Child Advocacy Department Head.

Qualifikationen

• Graduation from an accredited Nursing program.
• Current Maryland RN license.
• Forensic Nurse Examiner certification.
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience serving survivors of violence.

Aufgaben

• Provide trauma-informed forensic medical examinations for survivors of sexual assault, intimate partner violence, domestic violence, child abuse, and trafficking.
• Document findings, treatment plans, and referrals in confidential medical records.
• Collect, preserve, and maintain specimens for use in legal proceedings.
• Coordinate care with law enforcement, advocates, prosecutors, and other providers.
• Educate survivors and families, offering resources and ongoing care options.
• Collaborate as part of the MDT to refine clinic standards and protocols.
• Provide consultation and testimony as needed and maintain ongoing education.
