Job summary

Uintah County is seeking a part-time Forensic Interview Specialist in Vernal, UT. The role focuses on conducting developmentally sensitive NICHD protocol interviews of children and vulnerable adults, within a multidisciplinary framework and under strict evidentiary standards.

The position requires a Bachelor's in a related field, plus 3 years of relevant experience, a Utah driver’s license, and successful NICHD training within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, child development, criminal justice, behavioral science, or related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience in child welfare, criminal justice, forensic interviewing, victim services, or behavioral health.
• Valid Utah driver’s license and ability to pass background check.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmentally sensitive forensic interviews of children and vulnerable adults using NICHD Protocol.
• Collaborate with MDT including law enforcement, DCFS, prosecutors, and medical providers.
• Participate in weekly case staffing, monthly MDT reviews, and statewide peer reviews.
• Maintain meticulous case documentation and manage recordings under evidentiary standards.
• Provide professional courtroom testimony regarding protocol adherence when subpoenaed.
