Job summary

Uintah County is seeking a part-time Forensic Interview Specialist to conduct developmentally sensitive, NICHD-based interviews of children and vulnerable adults. You will collaborate with a Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) including law enforcement, DCFS, prosecutors and medical providers to ensure interview practices withstand scrutiny.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, child development, criminal justice or related field; 3 years of relevant experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, child development, criminal justice or related field.
• Preference for 3 years of professional experience in child welfare, criminal justice, forensic interviewing, victim services, or behavioral health.
• Willing to complete NICHD forensic interview training within six months of hire; Utah driver's license and background check required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmentally sensitive NICHD-based forensic interviews with children and vulnerable adults.
• Collaborate with MDT including law enforcement, DCFS, prosecutors, and medical providers.
• Participate in weekly case staffing, MDT reviews, and statewide peer reviews.
• Maintain meticulous case documentation and manage recordings per evidentiary standards.
• Provide professional courtroom testimony when subpoenaed.
