Job summary

The Children’s Guild DC is seeking an Elementary School Teacher to deliver standards-aligned instruction for K–5 students in a trauma-informed, inclusive setting. You will implement individualized lesson plans and support students with IEPs and 504 plans, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and engaging families to promote growth.

A focus on PBIS and culturally responsive teaching is essential to this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education required
• Familiarity with IEP, 504 accommodations, and IDEA requirements
• DC teaching license in Elementary Education or eligibility to obtain
• Strong classroom management, differentiation, and student engagement skills

Responsibilities

• Deliver standards-aligned instruction for K–5 students
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs, including ELL and special education
• Collaborate with co-teachers, related staff, and families
• Monitor and document student progress and maintain records in compliance
