Job summary

Five Keys, through its Los Angeles Academic Program, seeks a dedicated Teacher to deliver CCSS-aligned instruction across core subjects and foster a respectful, equity-focused learning environment.

You will customize curricula for a diverse student population, collaborate with special education staff, and track student progress using data-driven planning in a trauma-informed framework.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid K-12 California Teaching Credential to be eligible for employment (preliminary or clear, will consider intern).
• Preferred: Single Subject K-12 Credential.
• Acceptable: Multiple Subject Credential.

Responsibilities

• Teach CCSS-aligned courses in core subjects and adapt content for diverse learners.
• Use a trauma-informed approach to support student success and adjust teaching strategies.
• Collaborate with special education staff to include students needing extra support.
• Maintain student records and progress reports and ensure data-driven planning.
• Engage in school culture initiatives and communicate with families about student progress.
