Job summary

Five Keys San Mateo Programs is seeking an experienced teacher to create an equitable, engaging classroom culture and deliver CCSS-aligned instruction across core subjects. You will personalize learning, assess progress, and plan activities that build academic and life skills for diverse learners.

The role emphasizes trauma-informed practice, collaboration with special education staff, and flexible scheduling to meet program needs. Travel between sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid K-12 California Teaching Credential (preliminary or clear).
• Experience teaching in diverse settings and trauma-informed approach preferred.
• Ability to align instruction with CCSS and state standards.

Responsibilities

• Teach CCSS-aligned courses in subjects such as science, English, social studies, math, and electives.
• Use trauma-informed approaches to support student success and adjust teaching strategies.
• Maintain accurate student records and progress reports monthly.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure inclusive education and data-driven planning.
• Deliver instruction in various settings including one-on-one, small group, and class.
