Job summary

Wu Yee Children’s Services seeks an Early Learning Community Liaison to connect children, families, programs, and community resources. The role emphasizes trauma-informed, relationship-based practices to maintain safe learning environments and respond to emergencies with de-escalation and partnerships.

You will support safety, family engagement, and community partnerships while connecting families to essential services and overdose preparedness within the agency’s protocols.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Knowledge of trauma-responsive practices, de-escalation, emergency preparedness, and community safety.
• Experience in early childhood education, family support, or community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Maintain routine site safety assessments and address facility concerns.
• Support licensing compliance and emergency preparedness across locations.
• Develop site emergency plans, conduct drills, and maintain supplies.
• Utilize trauma-responsive de-escalation strategies with staff, families, and community.
• Maintain records of safety concerns, incidents, and community activities.
• Identify community needs and collaborate on solutions supporting children and families.
