Job summary

The Crisis Center for South Suburbia seeks a licensed or eligible therapist to provide trauma-informed individual and group counseling for adult survivors and child witnesses of domestic violence in shelter and offsite settings.

Work with a multidisciplinary team to offer prevention, assessment, advocacy, referral and ongoing therapy. Bilingual Spanish candidates are preferred and scheduling includes varied weekday hours.

Qualifications

• MSW or MA/MS Counseling, or Doctoral in Clinical Psychology.
• LSW/LCSW or LPC/LCPC eligible.
• Experience in trauma-informed therapy and domestic violence advocacy.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychosocial assessments for adults and children affected by domestic violence.
• Develop and regularly update individualized service plans and safety plans.
• Provide weekly individual, family, and group counseling using trauma-informed approaches.
• Facilitate psychoeducational and therapeutic support groups.
• Deliver domestic violence education to clients.
• Offer crisis intervention as needed & collaborate with other professionals as needed.
