Job summary

Genesis Women’s Shelter & Support in Dallas seeks a Bilingual Women’s and Children’s Therapist to provide individual and group therapy for women and children affected by domestic violence. You will conduct assessments, set treatment goals, and deliver crisis intervention and long-term counseling.

As part of an integrated treatment team, you will offer parent education, participate in community outreach and agency events, and support clients through trauma-informed therapy approaches including

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or related field.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Licensed in Texas (LMSW, LCSW, or LPC).
• Experience with children and teens strongly preferred.
• Experience with Play Therapy, Attachment, EMDR, CPT, TF-CBT, and trauma-informed therapies preferred.
• High energy, self-motivated, results oriented, and excellent people and communication skills.
• Experience leading therapeutic groups strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group therapy to women and children affected by domestic violence.
• Conduct assessments to determine treatment goals.
• Provide crisis intervention and long-term counseling.
• Advocate for clients as part of a treatment team.
• Offer parent education on services, parenting, and domestic violence.
• Facilitate community speaking engagements and assist in agency events.
