Job summary

WAA Legal Center is seeking a qualified Master’s of Social Work professional to supervise staff and volunteers delivering direct services and legal referrals for domestic violence survivors. The role emphasizes trauma-informed care, client intake, resource navigation, and strong documentation practices.

Qualifications

  • Master's of Social Work required.
  • Three years of direct service and/or advocacy experience required.
  • Prior supervisory experience.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
  • Knowledge of community resources.
  • Proficient communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Experience in human services or related organization preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize time and detailed records.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and provide direct service links for clients to internal and external resources to establish safety in leaving a domestic violence situation.
  • Recruit, mentor and supervise staff, pro bono legal professionals, assistants and volunteers.
  • Provide direct service links for clients to external resources to establish safety in leaving a domestic violence situation.
  • Provide intake and referral liaison to clients or potential clients, with information on legal options and follow-up.
  • Develop, update and maintain client files, demographics and other documents per guidelines.
  • Assist attorneys with client intake as assigned.
  • Serve as liaison with residential programs.
  • Act as WAA Legal Center representative as assigned.
  • Complete and submit data, reports and other documents as assigned.
