SDSU Research Foundation is seeking a Counselor/Instructor for the Driving Under the Influence Program (DUIP) to provide trauma-informed counseling and education. You will conduct group sessions, manage caseloads, and collaborate with the clinical team to ensure client safety and successful recovery planning.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; must be certified by and AOD organization or be in good standing as an Associate / Intern through the California Board of Behavioral Sciences
• Two-years experience providing counseling services in the field of alcohol and/or mental health

Responsabilités

• Under direct supervision, provide general trauma-informed counseling strategies and counseling services to participants in the Driving Under the Influence Program (DUIP). Facilitate group and education sessions; manage assigned client caseloads; perform general trauma-informed counseling strategies; facilitate collaborative treatment and recovery planning; maintain clarity of roles and boundaries; make referrals to the clinical team when needs exceed the scope.
• Attend monthly meetings and provide case management services.
