Fosterful in Clark and Cowlitz County, WA seeks Direct Care Staff to provide 24-hour, hands-on care for children ages 0–18 at the GRC Home. This is a physically demanding role requiring stair navigation, lifting up to 50 lbs, and constant supervision in a multi-level residence without an elevator.

Reporting to the Program Manager, you will implement each child’s Individual Plans, complete precise shift notes and incident reports, participate in drills, and maintain a nurturing, trauma‑informed

Qualifikationen

• Must be 21+ with valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma or equivalent, plus 1 year of qualifying experience with children 12 or younger.
• Alternatively, less than 1 year of experience or student status with supervised hours and a partner staff.

Aufgaben

• Provide continuous, hands-on supervision and care for all children on shift.
• Implement each child’s plans with care, respecting culture and trauma history.
• Deliver onboarding within 12–24 hours of admission, with warmth.
• Use de-escalation techniques; apply restraints only if trained and as last resort.
• Conduct ongoing supervision and never leave a child under 6 unattended.
• Document shift records and incident reports accurately.
