Liberty Point Behavioral Healthcare seeks a certified Career & Technical Education (CTE) Teacher for Liberty Point Academy in Staunton, VA. Responsibilities include supervising and instructing in various trades, implementing a balanced, project-based curriculum, and coordinating with a treatment team.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree required and Virginia teaching license (SPED or General Curriculum K-12) or equivalent out-of-state license.
• Minimum of three years of classroom teaching experience preferred.
• Virginia Driver's License preferred.
• Technical Professional provisional license with plans to obtain full license acceptable.

Aufgaben

• Assist in supervising, instructing, and evaluating students in vocational areas (gardening, drafting, woodworking, landscaping, horticulture, auto detailing, auto maintenance, cooking, custodial maintenance, construction).
• Develop and implement projects for a balanced program of instruction with hands-on work.
• Provide pre-vocational training to develop vocational skills and explain vocational tasks with support and guidance.
• Instruct and monitor safe use of equipment and materials.
• Deliver instruction aligned with IEP/IPP goals and Liberty Point practices.
• Implement Behavioral Program, document progress, and adjust strategies with the treatment team.
