Job summary

The People Concern seeks a part-time Counselor Advocate for Sojourn Adam's House/Crisis Shelter in a 100% onsite role. You will provide direct services, crisis intervention, safety planning, and referrals, while upholding confidentiality and trauma-informed care principles.

Responsibilities include maintaining notes, coordinating with partners, and supporting residents through life skills and empowerment activities in a structured shelter setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with crisis and safety planning advised.
• Ability to work with diverse populations and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct services to clients and crisis support as needed.
• Maintain accurate progress notes and documentation of services.
• Assist with transportation and entry/exit of shelter programs.
• Facilitate support groups for adults and children.
• Ensure compliance with shelter guidelines and confidentiality.
