Job summary

Solace is a trauma-informed nonprofit in Sioux Falls dedicated to empowering survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, and related trauma through immediate crisis response and long-term advocacy. Qualifications

• Minimum two years’ experience in domestic or sexual violence advocacy or crisis response.
• Strong trauma-informed and survivor-centered advocacy practices.
• Ability to work independently with professional accountability.
• Experience facilitating training or educational programming preferred.
• Excellent crisis de-escalation, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate crisis response and emotional support to survivors in various settings.
• Serve as rotating on-call crisis responder during business hours.
• Conduct needs assessments, safety planning, and connect survivors with resources.
• Assist with protection orders, victim compensation applications, and emergency assistance.
• Coordinate care with internal teams and community partners for continuity of services.
• Maintain timely, accurate, confidential case documentation.

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or related field

Equivalent crisis intervention or survivor services experience
