Job summary

Wildwood Recovery Center in Virginia seeks a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor to provide individual, group, and family therapy under supervision. You will conduct assessments, craft treatment plans, document thoroughly, and deliver crisis intervention within a recovery-oriented, trauma-informed framework.

Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, you’ll ensure care aligns with licensure, billing, and program standards while supporting clients toward lasting recovery and healthy coping

Qualifications

• Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) credential or in supervision for billing (CSAC-S).
• Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field preferred.
• Experience with substance use and co-occurring disorders preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct clinical services: maintain up to 12 clients with individual, group, and family therapy.
• Develop and update treatment plans in collaboration with clients.
• Complete assessments, documentation, and discharge planning.
• Provide crisis intervention and coordinate care with the treatment team.
• Ensure services align with evidence-based practices and regulatory requirements.
