Job summary

Family Service of Rhode Island (FSRI) seeks a licensed clinician to provide diagnostic assessments and individual, group, and family counseling for adolescent females 13–18 at the South County Academy. The role emphasizes a structured, trauma-informed environment with collaboration across care teams.

The Clinician works with management to ensure safety, stability and wellness, delivering crisis intervention as needed and applying Trauma Systems Therapy (TST) throughout the milieu.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in human services (psychology, social work, marriage/family, etc.) required.
• Eligible to be licensed in Rhode Island as Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist or Mental Health Counselor.
• Proficiency in professional writing.
• Experience with medical record software and general office software.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic assessments and individual, group, and family counseling for students.
• Collaborate with behavioral specialists, teachers and other providers to tailor services.
• Provide emergency crisis intervention/assessment as needed.
• Support direct service staff and implement evidence-based treatments such as Trauma Systems Therapy (TST).
