Job summary

Hanover Township in Bartlett, IL is seeking a Clinical Services Therapy Intern to provide direct intervention to individuals, families, school-based groups and therapy groups under supervision of the Clinical Manager or licensed YFS therapist.

The role focuses on resiliency-based, trauma-informed methods to improve interpersonal relationships and collaborates with Youth and Family Services Outreach and Prevention staff to assess residents' clinical needs.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an internship in Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or related field as approved by the Clinical Manager.
• Approved by accredited university to pursue internship.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint and Excel; knowledge of clientele database management.
• Ability to use and manage an electronic medical records system.
• Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct intervention to individuals, families, school-based groups and therapy groups as assigned.
• Collaborate with Outreach and Prevention staff to assess clinical needs of Township residents.
• Work under supervision of Clinical Manager or licensed YFS therapist and focus on resiliency-based, trauma-informed methods.
