Job summary

Wilderness Way is seeking a Team Leader to guide a residential home for children, ensuring safe, high‑quality care and positive outcomes. You will lead shifts, mentor staff, and advocate for trauma‑informed practice in daily interactions.

You will work closely with families, schools and professionals to support children's education, wellbeing and independence, while embedding safeguarding and regulatory standards across the home. This is a hands-on leadership role with real impact.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare and be eligible to work in the UK.
• Experience leading teams in residential childcare settings and supporting children with emotional or complex needs.
• Demonstrate leadership, safeguarding focus and ability to develop colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts and ensure safe, high-quality care for children.
• Coach and mentor Residential Support Workers and Senior Residential Support Workers.
• Champion trauma‑informed care and create positive, nurturing environments for children.
