Job summary

Orchard Place in Des Moines, IA seeks a Child Care Consultant to provide telephone, email, and onsite coaching to child care providers in assigned counties, applying a Trauma Informed Care, strengths-based approach. You will promote Developmentally Appropriate Practices, support quality improvement through IQ4K and environment ratings, and assist with regulatory compliance and CCR&R outreach.

A bachelor’s degree in early childhood or related field and strong communication skills are required;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in early childhood or elementary education with an early childhood endorsement or closely related field.
• Experience in child care preferred.
• Ability to engage client/family/provider effectively and commit to safe, high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Provide telephone, email, and onsite consultation and coaching to child care providers.
• Adhere to Sanctuary model and promote diversity, equity and inclusion.
• Support quality improvement through IQ4K and environment rating scales/other standards.
• Recruit non-registered providers and promote CCR&R services to increase program participation.
• Complete required documentation in a timely and consistent manner (NDS entries, monthly reports, etc.).
