Job summary

Arlington County Government is seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Specialist to serve as Case Manager at Clarendon House, the psychosocial rehabilitation program for adults with serious mental illness and co-occurring disorders. You will provide outreach, engagement, coordination and direct case management, applying trauma-informed care with a focus on assertive outreach and crisis planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a clinical discipline such as Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Art Therapy, or related field.
• Two years of experience providing behavioral health services.
• QMHP-A certification with Virginia within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide outreach, engagement, coordination and direct case management services.
• Assess suicidality and deliver safety and crisis planning.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary providers (psychiatrists, therapists, day program staff, peer support specialists).
• Serve clients with assertive outreach; 50% of services out in the community.
