Job summary

Allegheny Health Network's Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh is seeking a registered nurse to join the Trauma ICU team. This full-time role covers 72 hours every two weeks with rotating weekends and holidays, under a structured shift schedule.

You will provide professional nursing care across assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation, participate in rounds, ensure appropriate staffing, and collaborate with the medical team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required (or as determined by company).
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate required.
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate required.
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Clearance required.
• CPR certification from American Heart Association required.
• Current PA RN licensure or valid multi-state licensure via eNLC required.

Responsibilities

• Directs and provides professional nursing care to patients through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Coordinates daily clinical and operational components of the Trauma ICU unit.
• Oversees data collection related to quality and patient satisfaction measures.
• Acts as clinical expert and role model; mentors staff and ensures appropriate staffing levels.
• Utilizes nursing process to coordinate patient care for age-appropriate population.
