Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare seeks a trauma surgery locum to cover weekends, with Thursday 7 pm to Monday 7 am shifts. Expect inpatient rounding, call coverage, ~8 patients per shift and ~3 phone consults daily. Chest tubes and central lines are required; endoscopy is not.

The assignment provides paid malpractice, pre-paid travel and housing, and access to a Weatherby consultant 24/7. Multiple providers will onboard, and Weatherby is a charter member of NALTO.

Qualifications

• Trauma surgery experience required for inpatient coverage.
• Chest tube and central line insertion skills needed.
• Weekend/on-call shifts with rounding are part of the assignment.
• Experience using Epic EMR is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient rounding and call coverage required.
• Weekend coverage: Thursday 7 pm – Monday 7 am, every or every other weekend.
• Approximately 8 patients per shift with ~3 phone consults per 24 hours.
