Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare seeks a trauma surgery locum to provide inpatient rounding and call coverage in Anderson, Indiana. Weekend nights are required, with approximately 8 patients per shift and around 3 phone consults per day. EMR is Epic, and ongoing coverage will involve onboarding with multiple providers.

Travel and housing expenses are prepaid, and malpractice insurance is provided. This assignment offers 24/7 support from a Weatherby consultant and is aligned with NALTO standards.

Qualifications

• Trauma surgery experience required.
• Chest tube insertion proficiency required.
• Central line insertion proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient rounding and trauma call coverage.
• Weekend coverage: Thursday 7 pm – Monday 7 am.
• Manage ~8 patients per shift with ~3 phone consults per 24 hours.
• Document in Epic EMR.
• Assignment details entered in online portal.
• Pre-paid travel and housing expenses; paid malpractice insurance.
