• Call only coverage -- 1:3 call ratio
• ~3 phone consults and 6 patients seen per 24-hour call period
• Level 3 Trauma Center
• General surgery required -- adult, pediatric, and trauma
• Laparoscopic procedures required -- appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernioplasty
• GI endoscopy required -- upper, lower, and colonoscopy
• Vascular surgery required -- aneurysm repairs, arterial bypass, AV shunt
• Chest tube, central line, and PA catheter placement required
