Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System is seeking a Paramedic for the Trauma II Emergency Department at Mount Carmel East. Night shift coverage includes three 12-hour shifts per week with rotating weekends and holidays, starting 6am–6:30pm according to department needs.

Responsibilities include respiratory support, vascular access, rhythm interpretation, medication administration, and rapid response to trauma, stroke, and STEMI alerts. Ohio Paramedic certification with ACLS/BLS is required; PALS preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Current Paramedic Certification in Ohio; ACLS and BLS required; PALS preferred.
• 2–4 years of patient care experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Initiates respiratory interventions per physician orders or protocol.
• Establishes IV/IO access and uses ultrasound as needed.
• Interprets cardiac rhythms and initiates appropriate treatment.
• Transports and monitors patients with telemetry or non-telemetry.
• Administers medications and follows orders under physician direction.
