Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a detail-oriented data abstractor for the Trauma Center to perform chart abstraction, data entry into the trauma registry, and statistical reporting aligned with performance improvement and regulatory standards. You will extract data from the EMR, validate the work of fellow registrars, and support a collaborative Trauma Service team in a fast-paced environment.

Education: high school diploma or GED; associate degree preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required; 2-year/associate degree preferred.
• HIM, RHIT, Coding knowledge or coursework is advantageous.
• NH Trauma Centers: AIS Coding Course within 12 months; Trauma Registrar Course within 12 months; ICD10 Course within 1 year; CE hours annually.

Responsibilities

• Perform chart abstraction and data entry for the Trauma Center registry.
• Validate the work of other registrars.
• Generate and report trauma data to support performance improvement and regulatory compliance.
