Position Overview:

The Trauma Charge Nurse (RN) provides clinical and operational leadership in a specialized trauma unit, supporting staff, coordinating daily activities, and delivering direct patient care as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Facilitate quality care from hospitalization through discharge, develop and implement complex care plans, promote evidence‑based practices, and evaluate patient and family experiences to improve outcomes. Lead practice standards, identify care gaps, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

Current RN licensure with 2+ years of nursing experience; strong clinical, communication, and leadership skills. Preferred candidates hold a bachelor's degree and have up to 10 years of experience.

Unit Details:

Units 6400 & 6500 are combined trauma, geriatric trauma, and acute care surgery units with 63 beds, caring for diverse, complex cases in a collaborative environment.
