Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for our Care Center at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune Township, NJ. The role involves delivering evidence-based nursing care, collaborating with the care team, and ensuring safe medication administration and documentation.

Requirements include New Jersey RN license, BLS/CPR within 60 days, and 6+ months nursing experience or Nurse Residency involvement.

Qualifications

• Current New Jersey Registered Nurse license is required.
• BLS/CPR certification required within 60 days of hire.
• ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ATCN preferred.
• Minimum 6 months nursing experience or participation in HMH Nurse Residency program.
• 2 years critical care and/or ED trauma nursing experience strongly preferred.
• BSN in progress or willingness to obtain within 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of nursing practices per current evidence-based research, policies and standards of care to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
• Ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues, and other health-care team members about status and care plans.
• Medication administration using bar-scanning and documentation technologies for safe delivery.
• Electronic documentation of patient assessments, plan of care, interventions and evaluation.
• Patient and family education to promote health, wellness and disease management.
• Discharge planning to ensure safe transitioning and continuum of care.
