Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health's Jersey Shore University Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver evidence-based patient care in the Care Center, a 12-bed unit serving a diverse patient population.

The RN will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, ensure safe medication administration through bar-scanning technology, and maintain real-time electronic documentation. NJ RN license, BLS/CPR required; ACLS/PALS preferred; BSN in progress encouraged.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey RN license is required.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association within 60 days of hire.
• ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ATCN preferred.
• Minimum 6 months nursing experience or active Hackensack Meridian Health Nurse Residency.
• 2 years critical care and/or ED trauma nursing experience strongly preferred.
• BSN in progress or willing to acquire within three years of hire.
• Ability to learn quickly, teamwork, and strong patient-focused care.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of nursing practices per up-to-date evidence-based research and standards of care.
• Ongoing communication with patients and care team regarding status and plans.
• Medication administration with bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
• Electronic documentation of patient assessments, plans, interventions, and evaluations.
• Patient and family education to support health and disease management.
• Multidisciplinary discharge planning for safe transitions.
