Responsibilities

  • Perform clerical, reception, and support functions for trauma services’ professional staff
  • Coordinate the trauma director’s schedule and support additional staff
  • Manage overarching communication responsibilities for the Level I Trauma Center
  • Operate transcription equipment, transcribers, and word processors
  • Compose routine correspondence and prepare, maintain, and distribute reports
  • Record and track outgoing correspondence to referring physicians
  • Type reports and maintain correspondence files
  • Schedule appointments, arrange travel and meetings, and maintain and order office supplies
  • Coordinate mailings supporting department initiatives
  • Schedule department and committee meetings and prepare meeting documents
  • Attend meetings as requested and take minutes
  • Provide computer support, database maintenance, data entry, and report distribution
  • Enter monthly call schedules into Smart Web after ensuring regulatory compliance
