Job summary

Baptist Health Arkansas is seeking a trauma program RN to coordinate the transition of trauma patients from inpatient to outpatient care, acting as a case manager and overseeing utilization review.

This on‑site role in Little Rock requires five years of trauma experience, CCRN/CEN/TNCC/ATLS/ACLS certifications, and MSN preferred, with strong communication and critical thinking skills, and the ability to maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and families.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse with current Arkansas license.
  • Five years of experience in the care of trauma patients.
  • Advanced skills in critical care nursing with certifications such as CCRN, CEN, TNCC, ATLS, ACLS.
  • MSN preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to maintain effective relationships with medical personnel and the community.
  • Ability to form and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
  • Good critical thinking skills.
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with research methodology.
  • Self‑directed and able to work with little supervision.
  • Previous experience as a Trauma Coordinator.
  • Two years experience in management, preferably in a trauma program setting.

Responsibilities

  • Case management oversight for trauma patients transitioning from inpatient to outpatient care.
  • Utilization review and identification of management issues impacting patient outcomes.
  • Communication and coordination with all levels of medical personnel.
  • Maintenance of therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
  • Critical thinking; computer literacy; familiarity with research methodology.
  • Self‑directed with limited supervision; flexible scheduling; occasional travel.
