Job summary

Baptist Health Arkansas is seeking a trauma program RN to coordinate the transition of trauma patients from inpatient to outpatient care, acting as a case manager and overseeing utilization review.

This on‑site role in Little Rock requires five years of trauma experience, CCRN/CEN/TNCC/ATLS/ACLS certifications, and MSN preferred, with strong communication and critical thinking skills, and the ability to maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and families.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current Arkansas license.
• Five years of experience in the care of trauma patients.
• Advanced skills in critical care nursing with certifications such as CCRN, CEN, TNCC, ATLS, ACLS.
• MSN preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to maintain effective relationships with medical personnel and the community.
• Ability to form and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
• Good critical thinking skills.
• Computer literacy and familiarity with research methodology.
• Self‑directed and able to work with little supervision.
• Previous experience as a Trauma Coordinator.
• Two years experience in management, preferably in a trauma program setting.

Coordinated and facilitates the transition of the trauma patient from inpatient status into the outpatient setting for follow‑up. Functions in the role of case manager, monitoring patient progress via utilization review procedures to identify patient management problems that contribute to increased morbidity and mortality or a prolonged length of stay.

Work Hours
