Job summary

Harborview Medical Center is seeking a Trauma Care Nurse Coordinator (RN) to join its team in Seattle. The role supports trauma patient care, maintains the trauma registry, and drives quality improvement with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include chart review, data abstraction, and collaboration with clinicians to sustain Level I designation and patient safety outcomes across the program.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current or eligible Washington State RN license.
• Five or more years of professional nursing experience, preferably in trauma, general surgery, critical/acute care, or emergency services.
• Equivalent education/experience may substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support the continuum of trauma patient care as a clinical resource and advocate for evidence-based practice.
• Collaborate with inpatient trauma clinicians, the Trauma Registry, and Quality Improvement teams to monitor care and identify opportunities to improve outcomes.
• Conduct concurrent patient monitoring and chart review to identify gaps in care and quality concerns.
• Coordinate care and implement corrective measures to support patients along care pathways and communicate outcomes.
• Perform patient data abstraction and entry into the Trauma Registry and contribute to QA initiatives.
• Work within a multidisciplinary trauma care team to promote high-quality patient outcomes.
