Job summary

MultiCare Allenmore Hospital in Tacoma, WA seeks a Trauma Program Coordinator to lead the Level IV trauma program, ensure designation compliance, and drive quality improvement initiatives. The role partners with EMS, referring hospitals, and community organizations to advance trauma care and patient outcomes.

The position requires RN licensure in WA, a nursing degree, and certifications (BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS/ENPC) with 5+ years in nursing and 2+ years in supervision.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Registered Nurse license in Washington State or multi-state licensure endorsement (MSL).
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
  • ACLS certification.
  • TNCC certification.
  • PALS or ENPC certification.
  • Specialty certifications: TCRN, CEN, or CCRN preferred.
  • Minimum five years of professional nursing experience; trauma nursing preferred.
  • Minimum two years in a managerial or supervisory role.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and advance all aspects of the hospital's Level IV Trauma Program.
  • Ensure compliance with Washington trauma designation standards and support PIPS processes.
  • Lead injury prevention, outreach, and community engagement activities with EMS and hospitals.
  • Provide education, survey readiness, policy development, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
  • Plan and monitor budgets; supervise assigned staff; promote evidence-based care.
  • Partner with Trauma Medical Director and ED leadership to sustain program growth.
