Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider to support the Trauma Burn ICU and Neurological ICU teams. You will deliver high-quality care for critically injured patients, performing daily assessments, ventilator management, and care planning in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Applicants should have an Acute Care NP certification (or PA-C) and appropriate state licensure. Weekend/evening shifts and a potential differential pay are included as part of this role.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing with Acute Care NP certification or PA program required.
• Current APN CRNP certification or PA-C license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care within established scope to acute care and emergency patients.
• Coordinate plan of care, discharge, and referrals.
• Perform comprehensive physical examinations and assessments.
• Interpret medical records and social data for patient care.
• Coordinate and participate in performance improvement activities.
• Educate patients and families and train new staff.
