Job summary

UAB Medicine in Birmingham, AL is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider to support the Trauma Burn ICU and Neurological ICU. The role includes daily patient assessments, ventilator management, and developing care plans within a multidisciplinary team.

Required qualifications include a Master’s in Nursing with Adult Acute Care NP or PA-C pathway, with appropriate state licensure and BLS. Weekend shifts, rotating holidays, and the option for extra shifts provide additional earning

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing with Adult Acute Care NP certification or PA program completion.
• Mandatory APN/PA licensure as applicable in Alabama.
• BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS may be required.

Responsibilities

• Formulates and implements comprehensive patient care plans.
• Maintains complete documentation of assessments and plans.
• Coordinates discharge planning and referrals as needed.
• Provides patient and family education and supports staff training.
