Job summary

Baptist Health Floyd Southern Indiana/Louisville area is seeking a Part-time Transporter to perform timely, courteous patient transportation throughout the facility and assist with related tasks. Shifts run 8:30 a.m.

to 9:00 p.m., biweekly for a total of 48 hours, with days varying. The role also involves transporting specimens, equipment, messages, and parcels as designated and supporting other services to ensure patient care quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• BLS certification required or provided training.
• Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients via wheelchair, stretcher, or bed throughout the facility.
• Transport specimens, equipment, supplies, messages, and parcels as designated.
• Perform other support services to provide service excellence to patients, visitors and hospital staff.

Education

Responsible for the timely, courteous, and competent transportation of patients throughout the Baptist Health Floyd facility via wheelchair, stretcher, or bed. Also transports specimens, equipment/supplies, messages, and parcels, as designated. Performs a variety of other support services functions as is needed to provide service excellence to patients, visitors and hospital staff.
