Job summary

Baptist Health Floyd in the Southern Indiana/Louisville, Kentucky area is seeking a Transporter for a part-time role. Shifts run 8:30a–9p, across a 48-hour biweekly schedule.

You will perform patient transport using wheelchairs, stretchers, or beds, and also move specimens, equipment, messages, and parcels within the hospital. This role offers a pathway to further growth within a regional, nonprofit community hospital, with opportunities for continued education and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• BLS certification from approved BLS course required, will provide training.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients throughout Baptist Health Floyd facility via wheelchair, stretcher, or bed.
• Transport specimens, equipment/supplies, messages, and parcels as designated.
• Perform additional support services to ensure service excellence for patients, visitors and staff.

Responsible for the timely, courteous, and competent transportation of patients throughout the Baptist Health Floyd facility via wheelchair, stretcher, or bed. Also transports specimens, equipment/supplies, messages, and parcels, as designated. Performs a variety of other support services functions as is needed to provide service excellence to patients, visitors and hospital staff.
