Job summary

Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, IN, is seeking a part-time Transporter to support patient mobility throughout the facility.

The role covers transporting patients via wheelchair, stretcher, or bed during 6:30a-7p shifts, with days varying and a biweekly 48-hour schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• BLS certification from approved BLS course required, will provide training.
• Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients throughout Baptist Health Floyd facility via wheelchair, stretcher, or bed in a timely, courteous, and competent manner.
• Transport specimens, equipment/supplies, messages, and parcels as designated.
• Perform other support services to provide service excellence to patients, visitors and hospital staff.

Also transports specimens, equipment/supplies, messages, and parcels, as designated. Performs a variety of other support services functions as is needed to provide service excellence to patients, visitors and hospital staff.
