Job summary

Saint Joseph Medical Center - Joliet is seeking a part-time Radiology Transporter to support patient movement within the Radiology Department. Schedule is 11am-7:30pm with rotating weekends at 333 Madison St, Joliet IL.

The role includes transporting patients, assisting in the darkroom, stocking supplies, and clerical tasks using phone, PACS, and computer systems. High School diploma or equivalent and BCLS certification are required, with transportation experience preferred.

Qualifications

• BCLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current throughout employment
• Transportation experience preferred
• Starting April 2014, all new hires will require a High School diploma or Equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients to and from the Radiology Department
• Perform darkroom duties, stocking supplies, dressing patients and front office duties
• Provide clerical support via telephone, computer, PACS, and by running errands throughout the facility

Responsibilities

The following statements are intended to describe the major elements and requirements of the position and should not be taken as an all inclusive list of responsibilities, duties and skills required of an individual assigned to this job. The Radiology Transporter transports patients to and from the Radiology Department. Other duties include but are not limited to Darkroom duties, ordering supplies, stocking, dressing patients and front office duties. This performs clerical duties for the Radiology Department such as answering telephones, greeting patients and preparing requisitions for outpatients. Other duties include, but are not limited to, filing patient reports, retrieving patient records for physicians or medical records. The Radiology Transport/Aide should demonstrate adequate knowledge of the usual terminology of tests ordered in Radiology person should demonstrate good telephone etiquette and be able to greet patients and other visitors in a polite and friendly manner. Provides clerical support by utilizing telephone, computer, office equipment, PACS (Picture Archive and Communication System) and by running errands throughout the facility.
