Job summary

Prime Healthcare in Joliet, Illinois is seeking a Transporter to safely transport patients to and from the Radiology Department. The ideal candidate will assist with patient preparation and support daily operations while providing excellent customer service.

This full-time position offers a starting salary between $15.00 and $21.72 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package that includes paid time off and medical coverage.

Qualifications

• Must have BCLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current throughout employment.
• Transportation experience preferred.
• Starting April 2014, all new hires will require a High School diploma or Equivalent.

Department: Transportation Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift Employment Type: Non-Exempt

Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients to and from the Radiology Department for imaging procedures.
• Assist with patient preparation, including dressing patients for exams.
• Support daily department operations through stocking supplies and maintaining organized work areas.
• Provide front desk and clerical support, including answering phones and greeting patients professionally.
• Prepare and manage outpatient requisitions, patient reports, and medical records.
• Utilize PACS, computer systems, and office equipment to support efficient workflow.
• Deliver excellent customer service while communicating with patients, physicians, and staff.
• Assist with department errands and additional support duties throughout the facility.
• Maintain strong knowledge of common Radiology terminology and procedures.
• Promote a welcoming, patient-focused environment through friendly and professional interactions.
