HCA Florida Aventura Hospital is seeking a Transporter to move patients by wheelchair, stretcher or bed within the facility, providing support to clinical teams as needed.

You will greet patients, assist with transfers between departments, and help ensure safe, efficient patient flow throughout the hospital. No travel is required, and prior transporter experience is preferred but not required.

The role emphasizes patient safety, teamwork, and adherence to infection control and safety protocols.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• Past transporter experience preferred.

• Assist clinical staff in transferring patients between beds and equipment.
• Greet and assist patients and customers throughout the hospital.
• Orient and mentor new staff members as assigned.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Transporter, you will perform those duties directly involved with the transporting of patients via wheelchairs, stretchers and/or beds, to and from the assigned department. Provides general assistance to areas of the assigned department as assigned. Reports to the shift supervisor. Tasks and Responsibilities, you will: Transport patients to and from clinical, ancillary and support areas as requested. Assist clinical personnel in transferring patients to and from beds, wheelchairs or stretchers. Greets and offers assistance to customers throughout the hospital. Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required. Orients and mentors new staff members.

What qualifications you will need?

• High School Graduate / GED
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Previous Transporter experience preferred.
