Job summary

HCA Florida Aventura Hospital is seeking a Transporter to move patients by wheelchair, bed or stretcher across departments. The role involves greeting patients, assisting clinical staff, and supporting a safe hospital transport workflow.

Responsibilities include coordinating transfers, assisting with patient mobility, and mentoring new staff. A High School Diploma or GED is required, with BLS within 30 days. Prior transporter experience is preferred.

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Previous Transporter experience preferred.

Job Summary And Qualifications

As a Transporter, you will perform those duties directly involved with the transporting of patients via wheelchairs, stretchers and/or beds, to and from the assigned department. Provides general assistance to areas of the assigned department as assigned. Reports to the shift supervisor. Tasks and Responsibilities, you will: Transport patients to and from clinical, ancillary and support areas as requested. Assist clinical personnel in transferring patients to and from beds, wheelchairs or stretchers. Greets and offers assistance to customers throughout the hospital. Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required. Orients and mentors new staff members.

• High School Graduate / GED
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Previous Transporter experience preferred.
