Job summary

HCA Florida Largo Hospital in Largo, FL is seeking a Transporter to greet and transport patients to and from departments using proper safety techniques. You will assist clinical staff and ensure timely delivery of specimens and equipment.

We value patient-centered care, the ability to work in a fast-paced hospital setting, and strong interpersonal skills. A minimum of one year of related experience and current BLS certification are preferred. No travel is required.

Qualifications

• At least one year of related experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills required.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Current BLS through the American Heart Association is required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• You will transport patients to and from clinical, ancillary and support areas as requested.
• You will assist clinical personnel in transferring patients to and from beds, wheelchairs or stretchers.
• You will greet and assist customers throughout the hospital.
• You will collect and deliver specimens, orders, requisitions and equipment to appropriate destinations.
