Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Degree
• Professional Engineering License
• 5+ years of total experience
• 2+ years of experience in transportation engineering, design or construction fields
• Ability to effectively contribute to engineering, design or construction projects
• Proficiency in MicroStation (ORD)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required

Responsibilities

• Work with a project team on design, relocation, coordination, modification, analysis, and constructability of utility systems for large-scale transportation projects
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and solve engineering and construction-related issues
• Coordinate utility relocation/coordination with Federal, State, and Local agencies or utility owners
• Follow Federal, State and Local codes, regulations, and requirements
• Coordinate design activities to ensure installation and operations comply with specifications
• Lead detailed design phases for all aspects of utility engineering and coordination work
• Assist with proposals, contracts, and cost estimates
• Assist with revisions to contracts with sub-consultants and clients
• Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
• Prepare reports and studies presenting technical information clearly
• Perform independent reviews of work, including calculations and drawings
• Leadership opportunities depending on experience
