Horrocks is seeking an Utilities Engineer - Transportation in Cottonwood Heights, UT. The role focuses on owning projects from start to finish, with responsibilities across design, relocation, coordination, and constructability of utility systems within large transportation projects.

The candidate should have a BS in Civil Engineering and a PE license, with 5+ years of total experience and 2+ years in transportation engineering. Proficiency in MicroStation ORD and MS Office is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer license required.
• 5+ years total engineering experience.
• 2+ years in transportation engineering, design or construction.
• Proficiency with MicroStation and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead an engineering design team on large transportation projects, coordinating utility relocation and design efforts.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and solve engineering and construction challenges.
• Coordinate utility relocation with federal, state, and local agencies and owners.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and client requirements.
• Oversee design activities to meet specifications and budgets.
• Participate in preparation and review of proposals, contracts, and cost estimates.
• Collaborate with sub-consultants and clients on contract revisions.
• Prepare reports presenting technical information clearly for clients.
