Job summary

Transdev in Lawrence, Kansas is seeking a Training Supervisor to oversee classroom, behind-the-wheel, and hands-on training for new driver hires and existing staff requiring refreshers. This role ensures all training aligns with company policies, client requirements, and applicable regulations, while maintaining accurate records and driving safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED; associate's degree preferred.
• Experience in transportation, safety, training, operations preferred.
• Experience training, coaching, mentoring, or supervising hourly employees.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Class B CDL with Passenger and Air Brake endorsements.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety practices.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom and hands-on training for drivers and staff.
• Ensure training complies with policies, client requirements, and regulations.
• Coordinate and facilitate training programs, orientations, and evaluations.
• Maintain training records and compliance documentation.
• Evaluate employee performance and provide coaching and development plans.
• Support safety initiatives, including audits and investigations.
• Lead safety meetings and toolbox talks; ongoing development programs.
• Monitor regulatory changes to keep training current and effective.
• Collaborate with operations and safety teams to identify training needs.
• Serve as safety and compliance resource for staff.
