Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. seeks a Transportation Technology Admin to maintain systems, respond to tickets, and support project standups as directed by the Transportation Technology Manager.

The role involves developing reports, training users, and coordinating with technical staff to ensure smooth operation of TMS, ELD, and related systems within a fast-paced transportation environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in the transportation industry.
• Strong MS Excel and MS Access skills.
• Experience with TMS, ELD/Telematics, Fuel cards and MDM is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains reports to communicate performance metrics and financial results.
• Provides support, maintenance, and training for transportation systems.
• Instructs internal users and outside carriers on system use.
• Monitors interface errors and coordinates issue resolution.
• Maintains system data including carrier rates and user access.
• Recommends system improvements based on feedback.

Job Summary

The Transportation Technology Admin is a heavy support role focused on keeping systems up and running and responding to tickets through a ticketing system. In addition to daily system support, this role involves assisting with project standups as directed by the Transportation Technology Manager.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains daily, weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports to communicate performance metrics and financial results to management and outside parties
• Provides comprehensive support, maintenance, and training for critical transportation systems, including Shipper TMS, Private Fleet TMS, Fuel provider systems, ELD and safety systems, tablet hardware, and Mobile Device Management (MDM)
• Instructs and guides internal end users and outside carriers on the effective use of all systems within the supported transportation technology scope
• Monitors interface errors and collaborates with technical personnel to resolve issues, ensuring the ongoing maintenance of transportation software
• Maintains system data including FSC, lane benchmarking, carrier rates, equipment domiciles, user profiles, and user access
• Recommends system improvements to the Transportation Technology Manager based on user reports and feedback

Qualifications

• Preferred bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Sciences/Technology, or other related discipline or equivalent
• Three to five years of experience in the transportation industry
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly MS Excel and MS Access
• Prior experience with Transportation Management Systems, ELD/Telematics, Fuel Card Providers, MDM use and implementation, and Driver/Equipment Qualifications is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, multitask effectively, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
